Beautiful and functional facilities house Oakmont events, activities and clubs.
The Berger Center, with its large stage and hardwood dance floor, is Oakmont’s largest auditorium, where the most popular concerts and dances are held. It is also the site for many of the Life Long Learning classes with professors from Sonoma State University and Santa Rosa Junior College providing programs.
Modeled after the hop kiln that stood near there in the middle of 20th century, the West Rec Center offers tennis, swimming, spa and ping pong and has recently been extensively renovated. The upper level includes a floating hardwood floor for exercise and dance classes and kitchen facilities for parties and other gatherings. Nearby are are a picnic area and bocce ball courts.
With a breathtaking view of Hood Mountain, the East Rec center pool is used by lane swimmers year round. Two of its four tennis courts are currently shared by pickle pickleball enthusiasts. There is also a billiards room accessed through the pool area. The upper level has a large meeting room where Movies at Oakmont are played and the Sunday Symposium meets Sept. through June.
The Central Activities Center is the newest Oakmont facility. The building includes an honor-system library, a Computer Learning Center, an Arts and Crafts room, where art seminars and live model classes are held, and a card and game room. The Fitness Center has state-of-the-art equipment, an available trainer and a separate weight room area.
