Just In Case You Missed It – We will do it again next year!
Thank you to all of our great members who enjoyed our First Annual Canine Club PICNIC on November 3rd at the West Rec picnic area. A really successful Pot Luck thanks to all the contributions that loaded our buffet table. We almost didn’t need the great BBQ chicken provided by our local Oakmont Market. Everyone enjoyed Raffle prizes, games, and most of all a chance just to get to know each other! Although “No Pups Allowed”, many brought photos! Here are some photos of some humans who joined the fun.
What’s Happening With The Dog Park?
Adhoc Committee has not given up after last month’s temporary setback in the form of a BOD “No Vote” for the Stone Bridge Rd location near the Community Gardens. A new location looks like a good possibility; One with no impact on the Garden and no expensive site preparation needed for runoff diversion. More details coming soon once the committee has completed their research. Most of all – a major emphasis is on getting the COST WAY DOWN! The cost has to be much more reasonable. On that point the BOD, the committee, and the community agree! Don’t forget to sign and then turn in your “Statement of Support” by November 30th. The BOD needs to know that you support establishing a dog park in Oakmont Village at a reasonable cost.
