The goal of InvestOAK is to advance members’ knowledge and understanding of investment options and strategies for retirement. Membership experience ranges widely. There is no actual monetary aspect to the club’s activities and is not investment advice.
The InvestOak club meeting will typically feature a new investment topic each month, a Market Update and discussion with your participation encouraged. If you have a topic of interest or want deeper involvement in Club activities, let’s talk.
The topic for July’s meeting is Energy.
Energy and Electrical Power costs have greatly increased.
• Will solar and other renewable energy lower these costs in the future?
• PG&E is charging aver 35¢/kWh for power
• Why are Californians paying over $6/gal for gasoline and $7/gal for diesel fuel?
• Why have natural gas prices increased by 2-7 times from 20¢ to 70¢ a therm?
• Was this caused by inflation or the Russian invasion of the Ukraine?
• Why are many residents of Oakmont and California not paying to fuel their vehicles and their electric power?
You can get answers for these weighty issues by joining us at our next InvestOak MTG on Friday, July 15 at 10am, Room B of the Central Activity Center.
InvestOAK meetings are held on the third Friday of the month. Members can expect an email notice in the days preceding the meeting. For further information or to join the distribution list for meeting notices email Len Grosso – leonard.grosso @ yahoo.com.
