A newly designed AARP Smart Driver course is returning to the Oakmont Central Activities Center starting in August. Note: The June 23 class was cancelled. 

June 23rd 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.: Half-day refresher course for those individuals who have taken a driver safety course either online or in person within the previous 3 years. 

The June 23 AARP Class Has Been Cancelled

Aug. 25th  Part I of II: 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. 

Aug. 26th  Part II of II 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Sept. 22nd Part I of II: 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. 

Sept. 23rd Part II of II: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Nov. 17th 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Half-day refresher course for those individuals who have taken a driver safety course either online or in person within the previous 3 years. 

Signup in person at the OVA office 6637 Oakmont Drive Suite A. Classes are only open to Oakmont residents. Fees: $20 for AARP members; $25 for nonmembers; free for anyone with an AARP Medicare Supplement (Medigap) policy. AARP Medicare Supplement ID card is required for free offer. Participants who take the full course must complete Parts I and II to receive their DMV certificate. 

AARP instructors will be fully vaccinated.  Participants must follow City, County, State and Oakmont Covid protocols to attend the class.
