At-a-Glance Summary of June 18 OVA Board Actions

Manager’s Report: There have been significant incidents of off-leash dogs attacking people and other dogs. All dogs in Oakmont must be leashed if they are outside their owners’ homes.

Landscape Improvement Committee:  After many discussions with the chair of the committee, voted unanimously to disband the LIC effective immediately.

Architectural Committee Appointment:  Appointed Ken Smith as alternate committee member to serve, as needed, when one or two AC members are absent.

Dog Park Rules and Nuisance Pet Policy: Approved the Dog Park Rules and Nuisance Pet Policy to be effective immediately.

Committee Member and Liaison Appointment: Approved appointments as submitted, subject to corrections at the next board meeting.

Bylaw Revision: Voted unanimously to submit proposed bylaw revisions to OVA’s attorneys for review and comment.

Town Hall Meetings: Scheduled three workshops to discuss the potential OGC purchase: June 25 from 1:00-3:00 pm in the Berger, July 2 from 1:00-3:00 and 3:15-5:15 in East Rec.  The two workshops on July 2 will be identical in nature, members were encouraged to attend only one.

Dog Park Name Approval: Unanimously approved naming the dog park Happy Tails.
