Futures Club

Futures Club

The Futures Club was founded to understand the technologies and trends that will impact us in Oakmont in the next 5 to 10 years, and to communicate our findings to the broader Oakmont community. We normally meet in the East Rec Center on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 5 PM.

During the pandemic we have been meeting by Zoom. We meet the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays at 4 PM. If you would like to join our Zoom meetings, email us at futureoakmont@gmail.com.

Topics we have covered range from solar energy to electric cars, from smart homes to what’s new in apps, from understanding viruses and vaccines to how drones can help fight fires. We have recorded most of our meetings and they are available on our YouTube Channel: Future Oakmont.

Members should be ready to work – none of us are experts – we want to explore these topics as a group and learn together how these new technologies work and share our learning with each other and all of Oakmont. Meeting time: 4 PM on Zoom now Email: futureoakmont@gmail.com Website: oakmontfuture.com YouTube channel: Future Oakmont

If you’d like to contact the Club with your thoughts or simply be on our mailing list, we can be reached at futureoakmont@gmail.com.
