ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARTY

A friendly and enthusiastic crowd enjoyed our annual Holiday Party on December 14 at the East Rec. Center. Following appetizers, cocktails and a served dinner catered by The Oakmont Market,the Oakmont-based group More Joy entertainedupwards of 60 Bocce Club members and friendswith their performance of folk music and Christmas songs. Their lively music put everyone in a celebratory mood for the holidays.

The Club expresses itssincere appreciation to outgoing Social Committee Co-chairsEllie and Bob Baciocco; to the incoming Social Committee members who hosted the event, Barbara and Frank James, Elaine Foote and Bob Cresta; to the 2019 Board for its hard work;and to the other incoming 2020 Board members: President Jean Reed; Vice President Barbara Lowell; Secretary Carol Green; Treasurer Eric Neilsen; Publicity Co-chairs Linda & Don McPherson; Historian and Badge Coordinator Barbara Newton; Court Maintenance Overseer Tony D’Agosta; and “Sunshine Lady”Bev Schilpp.

WINTER BOCCEAT 1 PM, MONDAY TO SATURDAY

Bocce Club play continues throughout the winter months, Monday through Saturday at 1 p.m. at the West Rec. bocce courts, with the chip draw for teams at 12:45. Drop by to see what “the joy of bocce” is all about — anyone can play and all are welcome.

2020 AHEAD!

If you haven’t paid 2020 dues yet, please complete the 2020 Dues Form available in the previous two editions of the Oakmont News, at the Bocce courts, and in the Bocce Club folder at the OVA office. Place the form together with $15 per member dues (checks only) in the Bocce Club folder at the OVA office by January 31.We want the 2020 Roster, which will be available to Club members, to be accurate including current contact information. The schedule of events and tournaments for 2020 will be available soon after the New Year.
