e Tournament on April 13. Tourney winners were: Ellie Baciocco, Chris Duda, Linda McPherson & Geoffrey Newton; Bob Cresta, Elaine Foote, Ellean Huff & Maureen McGettigan; Bob Baciocco, Jean Reed, Bev Schilpp & Betty Van Voorhis.

Next up is the Mother’s Day Tournament on Saturday, May 11 at 9:30 AM. Tournament play is limited to 24 participants, so be sure to get to the courts early, in time to get a tag for the chip draw for teams and courts at 12:45. Winners will be pictured in the May 15 Oakmont News.

WINE COUNTRY & SCBC COMPETITIONS

Three Oakmont Bocce Club teams have signed up on the bulletin board at the West Rec. Bocce courts to play in the May 31-June 1 Wine Country Senior Games. Registration continues at http://winecountrygames.com. The Bocce competition is held at the Julliard Park Bocce courts on South A Street in Santa Rosa, hosted on their home courts by the Sonoma County Bocce Club.

An Oakmont Bocce Club team is competing this year with the Sonoma County Bocce Club at Julliard Park in Santa Rosa. Each weeknight is its own league. The Bocce Buddies, Cindi Clemence, Jeff Clemence, Linda McPherson, Don McPherson, Jean Reed, Fritz Spotlesen, Jim Tosio (capo) & Malcolm Wing play in the Thursday night 12-team league. Teams play three games each week beginning at 5:30 PM through the week of September 5 except for a two-week break around July 4. The SCBC comprises 58 teams and nearly 500 rostered players from throughout the region. The season concludes with Club-wide playoffs in September.
