Happy 2020 the Year of the Dog Park!

They Are Waiting Patiently For Their Dog Park- andthings are really moving along. Design review and Conditional Use Permit havebeen approved. We are now preparing building permit application. Design drawings, required for submittal with application, are completed. Interviews with landscape general contractorsalso have been completed and wenow awaittheircontract offers. The selected contractor’s name has to be on the permit and that contractor will submit the additional permit needed for street curb cut for ADA parking.

Hopefully we’ve received contractors’ proposals by the time you read this, and selected the winning bid, so BOD can approve the contract at their January Board meeting. Then we are really on our way!

Size remains, as originally approved, just under 1 acre. Due to land contour, park will belong and narrow to avoid the rising hillsides; great for letting dogs run and be happy. Our budget will be at or under the Board approved amount. We are still working on finalizing information to present to the Board after we have our best contract offer.

Construction is expected to start in spring, (depending on weather & contractor’s schedule). If all goes well, we might have a dog park to enjoy this summer.
