This event has already happened.

Hello Woofers! Woof!

Save the NEW date – Saturday October 16th
Yes, another change to our Annual Canine Club Picnic due to a conflict with the Arts and Crafts Faire scheduled for November 13th. Please note on your calendar the NEW, and hopefully final, date of the member Picnic. Saturday, October 16th Noon – 2 PM at W. Rec Picnic area. Main entrée will be catered by Oakmont Market and appetizers, salads/veggies, desserts will be Potluck style. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED to assist with Set up & Tear down/Clean up on the day of the Picnic. Please email Peri if you are able to lend a hand. The Picnic is for Canine Club members only, plus an accompanied guest. More details will be sent soon to all members.

The yappy hour is a big hit so more dates will be added. If you missed the last one September 2nd, don’t bark, there will be more. On walk days the meet up spot is south end of the Berger Lawn at 10 AM and walk is approximately 1 -2 miles Round Trip. Walk at your own pace. There is no rush. Or, if you care to jog for get a good cardio workout…Ready, Set, Go! Bring water for yourself as well as your furry companion and good walking shoes.

Canine Club recently donated a new bench to the dog park. Now a place to rest along the path to the dog park! Are you new to Oakmont? We have our very own Happy Tails Dog Park, located at 6302 Stonebridge Rd, available to all Oakmont residents. It is approximately one acre and is open from Sunrise to Sunset. It is a beautiful Dog Park and the only place in Oakmont that your dog can run free without a leash, other than your own yard. See the Canine Club website for the Dog Park rules.

Remember to take advantage of the Canine Club website at, which has great resources available, such as Pet Sitters, Dog Walkers and Groomers. Take a look at the Member Swap – Free Merchandise…perhaps; there is something you and your pup could use? Simply email Peri with the Item # and it will be delivered to your doorstep. Have something to donate? Let Peri know that too. If you would like to have your fur baby featured as “Pup of the Month”, email a photo to Steve at:, or to Peri at:
