Controlled Burn near Warren Richardson Fire Road

The California Department of Parks and Recreation will continue their program of burning piles of vegetation removed for fire mitigation along the Warren Richardson Fire Road of Trione-Annadel State Park. This work began yesterday, Jan. 26, and will continue throughout the week. Smoke and heat may be visible from roads and trails within the park, as well as adjacent residences in the Oakmont and Wild Oak communities. This work protects the biodiversity of Trione-Annadel State Park’s oak woodlands and reduces roadside surface fuel loading and vertical fuel continuity along park fire roads.
