The Thursday, July 28th open meeting of the Oakmont Democratic Club will be held outside in the patio of the CAC (Central Activity Center). All Oakmonters are welcome. A social with great refreshments will start at 6:30 PM with the program following at 7PM. The meeting will feature three local leaders who are central to building campaigns to fight for our rights and our democracy: Pat Sabo, Chair of the Sonoma County Democratic Party, Santa Rosa Councilmember Dianna MacDonald and Marty Bennett, longtime lead union organizer.

The fall election provides an opportunity to hold the House and break the Senate’s 50/50 deadlocks. Eight to ten Congressional seats in California will be hotly contested. Pat Sabo has helped build the Sonoma County Democratic Party into a force that has helped make our county a leader in protecting the environment and promoting racial and economic justice.

Marty Bennett is helping both mobilize campaigns in California and in Nevada. Nevada is important as the Governor’s race and the Senate race are toss ups. See oakmontdemclub.com for more information.
