Do you know how to use it? Map Your Neighborhood (MYN) is sponsoring two fire extinguisher classes – one on June 8 at 1pm and a 2nd class on June 24 at 1pm. There will be 20-30 minutes of classroom information, and then hands-on using a fire extinguisher to put out a live fire in the Berger parking lot. You’ll learn the proper type of extinguisher to purchase, how to tell if it’s still good, where they should be kept in your home, whether or not it’s safe to use, and more.
Owning a fire extinguisher can save property and life if the fire is small. They are not good for out-of-control fires. So, don’t PASS on getting one. But do memorize what PASS stands for. It means you will always know how to use a fire extinguisher.
Class size is limited to the first 25 people who sign-up for each class. There is no cost to you. Email MYN to sign-up and ask questions.
