Dog Friendly Wineries
• Did you know that many local wineries are dog friendly? Various Sonoma County wineries are welcoming visitors to pair Wine with Fido in ways both dog-owners and dogs can enjoy. What’s Happening At The Dog Park?
• Small Dog Hour continues Every Sunday and Wednesday, 3 – 4 PM. If you are a dog owner with a breed larger than 25lbs., please observe these windows each week for small dogs. Small dog owners see this as a safety issue, so the Canine Club encourages you to show respect for their concerns; especially since the Dog Park is open all other hours of the day, all days of the week, for everyone to enjoy!

• Play Date for all Havanese, (Havanese Mix), Bischon (Bischon Mix).
Come meet others with a breed similar to yours for a play date.

Location: Happy Trails Dog Park

• Doggy Docents Needed
Do you have a spare hour per week to assist club volunteer efforts in welcoming newcomers and helping keep Happy Tails Dog Park a clean and safe environment for Humans and Canines? Then become a Doggy Docent. Duties include refilling dog waste bag dispenser, returning tennis balls to the baskets, picking up dog waste any owner missed, and removing any unwanted trash. Save The Date
• Woofers Yappy Hour Dog Walks Continue on Summer Hours.
Earlier start of 9:00AM until September. The walks are approximately 1-2 miles (Round Trip). Walks are casual; go at your own pace or sprint ahead if you wish! Remember to bring water for yourself and your pup and wear comfortable walking shoes. Hope to see you there!

Do You Have a Dog That is Friendly and LOVES People?
• Would you like to share their love with others? Then, Therapy Dog Training may be for you. PAWS FOR HEALING is holding their first therapy team training session in nearly three years and the Oakmont Canine Club is their proud Sponsor. Consider volunteering with this non-profit organization. Teams visit local hospitals, assisted living facilities, schools and libraries. If you have a healthy dog, 1 year or older, with basic obedience skills, they will provide training & mentoring. You can schedule visits at your convenience and choose where you go from their list of facilities.
