Ready to Walk and Talk - Smiling Yappy Hour pups!

Hello Woofers! Woof!

MARK YOUR CALENDAR
Yappy Hour Walks – September 2nd and October 6th.
Hoping to see you Thursday, 9/2/21, for the next Dog Walk Yappy Hour. Walkers congregate on the South end Berger Lawn at 10AM, and then walk approximately 1 mile Round Trip. Feel free to invite your neighbors. This is open to all Oakmont residents. Remember to bring good walking shoes and water for both you and your Pup(s. July walks were fun and special thanks to those who helped Steve & Peri celebrate their Becca’s crossing over the rainbow bridge. These walks are casual fun. Walk at your own pace, no rush, or …Run to the finish line… if you care to. Special shout out to Alan Schackman’s pup, Bo, at age 17 years, first to cross the finish line. Love, love, his enthusiasm. October Yappy Hour meet-up in front of the Berger Auditorium, same 10AM start time.

Fall Picnic
Please note – our Canine Club Picnic is re-scheduled for Saturday, November 13th. Same time, same location, Noon – 2pm, West Rec Picnic Area. Don’t miss this fun outdoor event. Details forthcoming; but save the date!

“TO WALK or NOT TO WALK” – Important Reminder
There are specific hours we may walk our dogs on Valley of the Moon and Sugarloaf Golf Courses. These hours were set forth by the Oakmont Golf Course Advisory Committee. Current walking schedule is as follows:
• Morning: 7 day’s @week, from daybreak to 7 AM. Access to both courses from any location
• Afternoon: Limited to Wednesday and Thursday ONLY, starting at 7:15 PM.
All dogs must be leashed at all times. You need to stay on cart path and ALWAYS pick up after your pet. If your dog likes to run free, please visit our Happy Tails Dog Park located at 6302 Stonebridge Rd. It is approximately one acre and open Sunrise to Sunset. Dog Park Rules are posted on Canine Club website.
