Single Boomers Banner

Carolita Carr

When: July 9

Time: 6:00 pm for court play

         7:00 pm for “noshing”

Where: East Rec Center

Bring: An appetizer to share and a beverage of your choice

What: Learn about this new, and very popular sport. If you’ve been wanting to try pickleball but have been too busy (or shy) to go to the training sessions, now is your chance. Members of Oakmont’s Pickleball Club will share their knowledge and skills with us. If you don’t want to expend the energy that evening, just come and watch. It’s sure to be entertaining.

If you plan to play, here are points to remember:

1)wear court shoes with-non marking soles

2) balls and paddles will be provided; or bring your own

3) bring water bottle for hydration

4) please refrain from drinking any alcohol until after play

Around 7, we will go inside the rec center to enjoy food, libations and company.

Since we are reserving the food part of our party until later in the evening, we encourage you to bring salads or cold appetizers.

Single Boomers Social Club is open to any single person residing in Oakmont. Only an interest in meeting people and socializing is required. We hold monthly mixers within Oakmont and find interesting things to do in the greater Santa Rosa area..We dine out at a different restaurant once a month, and we even arrange to sit together at other Oakmont activities. If any of this sounds interesting to you, all you have to do is pick up an application form in the Single Boomers Social Club folder at the OVA office. Our dues are $12.00 per year. Once you join and give us your email address, you will learn of our events and be able to participate.
