You are not alone if you find the Oakmont Fitness Club or any gym overwhelming.  Fifty percent of Americans are intimidated at the thought of working out at a gym and thirty one percent feel anxious when thinking about getting into shape.  Thirty seven percent who have never exercised at a gym think they might be too unhealthy to even start.  The first step to a healthier lifestyle is to consult your physician to determine if you have any limitations in exercising.  One of the several advantages of joining the Oakmont Fitness Club is that it includes a free orientation with John Phillips, our club’s personal trainer, that includes an individual program designed for you to achieve optimal results.  This is a great way to begin overcoming any inhibitions you may have about exercising.  See you at the gym!

The Oakmont Fitness Club is sponsoring a picnic on Saturday, June 8, from 12 to 2 pm.  The annual member appreciation event will be held at the West Rec picnic area and is open to all Oakmont residents.  The catered event is complimentary to all Fitness members and non-members will be charged $15 at the picnic.  Reservation deadline is June 1.  Please complete the form below and return to the OFC folder at the OVA office or drop in the mail slot outside the office of John Phillips at the Fitness Center.
