Next meeting – Wednesday, August 14

5:00-7:00 PM in East Rec

The Futures Club is working to establish a number of working relationships with national organizations that develop products for seniors.  We have interest from Google, AARP, and Bose so far. They are seeking Oakmont’s help in defining products, testing concepts, beta-testing products, and early adoption.

We need teams to support this effort.  We’re looking for 4 teams:

  • SmartPhone development – products that turn SmartPhones into Personal Assistants for seniors
  • Hearing assistance – products that can help seniors with hearing loss – both those who have hearing aids and those who do not
  • Accessibility – products for seniors with other disabilities – vision, Parkinson’s, etc.
  • Dementia/Caregivers – products for seniors with dementia and their caregivers

These companies need input from seniors who can give them insights into the real problems we face as we Age in Place.  If you’re interested in being a part of this exciting project, please email us at futureoakmont@gmail.com and indicate your area of interest.

The Futures Club is designed to help Oakmont residents adopt the technologies that will help them Age in Place.  Our meetings are open to all Oakmont residents and will expose you to a wide range of options for medical, home, and device applications.

If you want to be on our email list, send your email to futureoakmont@gmail.com.
