FEBRUARY 21 LONG HIKE: ANNADEL – HENRY’S KNOB

We will drive to the top of Oak Mesa, and walk thru Wild Oak to Two Quarry. Connecting with Marsh and Ridge. Henry’s Knob has a marvelous almost 360 degree view. The hike is 9 miles and 1,500 feet elevation gain. Bring lunch, water, hiking poles. We will leave from the Berger Center at 8:30 a.m. Hike leader is Chuck Chenault 539-1093.
FEBRUARY 28 INTERMEDIATE HIKE: OLOMPALI STATE HISTORICAL PARK
Hike at a leisurely pace about 5-6 miles through the historic site, past the oldest surviving house north of San Francisco Bay and a reconstructed Miwok Village, up the trail towards Mount Burdell (but not to the top). Elevation gain of about 800 feet. Bring water, lunch, hiking poles if you need them. Leave from Berger Center 9:00 a.m. Heavy rain cancels. A steep, slippery mile through the deep woods north of Mount Tamalpais in Marin County to some of the best waterfall hiking on the

West coast. The Cataract trail, Kent trail and Helen March trails are an 8.8 miles loop trail near Fairfax. Meet at Berger center for an 8:30 a.m. departure. Bring lunch, water, and hiking poles. Heavy rain cancels. Hike leader is Lynn Pelletier: yvelinepelletier@gmail.com
