Invest OAK Club

Invest-Oak-Banner

Our goal is to advance members’ knowledge and understanding of investment options and strategies for retirement. Membership experience ranges all the way from investment novice through those who have had a professional career in the financial world. There is no actual monetary aspect to the club’s activities. Active member participation is encouraged. The topic for May will be: “Real Estate & Capital Gains Taxes – Strategies and Pitfalls.” Art Fichtenberg describes his presentation and discussion as: An examination of the results of large capital gains taxes, often due upon liquidation, of high equity – low basis real estate assets and strategies to minimize those liabilities, create off-setting benefits and help our loved ones.

Cristie Marcus, an Oakmont specialist, of the Mission Office of Coldwell Banker Real Estate will provide information about the current state of the Oakmont real estate market, from both an owner/buyer and an investor perspective. Ms Marcus has a BA from U.C. Berkeley and has been a North Bay Association of Realtors Licensed real estate agent in Sonoma County since 1986.

Interested Oakmont residents are invited to attend the next regular meeting which is Friday 17, 10:00am to 11:30am, Room B, Central Activities Center. For the rest of the year 2019 our meetings will be held on the third Friday of the month. For further information contact Dave White (dwhite747@hotmail.com).
