Our goal is to advance members’ knowledge and understanding of investment options and strategies for retirement. Membership experience ranges all the way from investment novice through those who have had a professional career in the financial world. There is no actual monetary aspect to the club’s activities. Active member participation is encouraged.

Charlene Bunas, our InvestOak Club Moderator and a retired stock broker/financial planner says, “What one woman wants, one man might not. How does one woman pick a stock to buy, a company of interest? Where does she go to research? When and where does she buy …. or sell?” She will address these questions with enthusiasm.

Mike Murphy, a member of our InvestOAK Club with a long time personally managed portfolio, uses Value Line, Inc. as one of his major resources to aid in making investment decisions. He will show us how to access Value Line for free using your Sonoma County Library. He will then discuss pertinent features of this investment program.

Interested Oakmont residents are invited to attend the next regular meeting which is Friday, July 19, 10:00am to 11:30am, Room B, Central Activities Center. For the rest of the year 2019 our meetings will be held on the third Friday of the month. The auxiliary group meets at 10:00 at the Omqua Bank, one week after the regular meeting (7/26/19). For further information contact Dave White (dwhite747@hotmail.com).
