The Oakmont Squares request the pleasure of your company as the club begins a new class on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.

The 2021 class is nearing completion of the Social Square Dancing program based on 50 calls that can be combined into nearly endless patterns. The calls are set to music of various genres to keep dancers moving and thinking, exercising body and mind in a light-hearted social context.

Experienced dancers at Mainstream Level or beyond are always welcome to come visit or join the Oakmont Squares at any time. April 5 will be an opportunity for anyone else who would like to come see what square dancing is all about. Modern square dancing goes beyond what is taught in junior high/middle school. Casual dress and a willingness to give it a whirl are all that is required. No partner is necessary. Come find out how to “Dance in a square, make a circle of friends.”

The Oakmont Squares meet Tuesday evenings with caller Lawrence Johnstone, 7:00-9:00 PM at the East Rec Center. Donation is $6 per person. For information call Jenny at 707-367-2102.
