The goal of InvestOAK is to advance members’ knowledge and understanding of investment options and strategies for retirement. Membership experience ranges all the way from investment novice through those who have had a professional career in the financial world. There is no actual monetary aspect to the club’s activities. Active member participation is encouraged.
The subject for our September InvestOak club meeting is REITs.
InvestOAK member, Joe Pundyk, will present this timely topic.
Real Estate Investment Trusts or REITs are interesting investment vehicles given the potentially inflationary environment that is likely to exist now and in the future. Investing in real property has the opportunity to increase in value with time if the correct vehicle choice is made.
REITs are available for residential housing such as apartment houses, school dormitories, senior citizen housing and low income rehabilitation projects, as well as REITs for public storage, sport stadiums and commercial establishments, even resources like Lumber.
Please join us for an interesting session.
Interested Oakmont residents are invited to attend the next regular meeting which is Friday, September 17, 10:00am to 11:30am, Room B, Central Activities Center.
For the rest of the year InvestOAK meetings will be held on the third Friday of the month. Members can expect an email notice in the days preceding the meeting. For further information contact Len Grosso – firstname.lastname@example.org.
