A town hall regarding the Los Guilicos temporary shelter for displaced persons has been scheduled for Tuesday Jan 28. At the Berger Center from 9am-10:30am.
The meeting comes shortly after last week’s town hall hosted by Sonoma County which left many Oakmonters unsettled.
Santa Rosa City Councilman, Jack Tibbetts, will lead the town hall by delivering a brief presentation on St. Vincent de Paul’s operating plans for the facility. It is hopeful the meeting will provide additional clarification on the topic as well as allow the voices of the Oakmont community to be heard.
Following his presentation, Tibbetts will answer questions from the audience accompanied by time for community statements limited to 2 minutes per person.
Though the meeting is set to conclude at 10:30 AM, Tibbetts has promised to be available until Noon to ensure answers to all further questions.
For any questions regarding the town hall, please contact the OVA office during their staffed hours (M-F 9 AM – 5 PM) at (707)539-1611.
