Several months ago The Oakmont Kiwanis Club began a series of evening meetings on the first Thursday of each month with the aim of providing a time for members and interested residents whose schedules are such that they cannot participate in the Club’s Thursday morning meetings. For March, this will be Thursday evening, March 7, at 5:50 PM in the Berger Center. This meeting’s speakers will be Alec and Ann Peters, editors and publishers of one of our favorite local publications, the Kenwood Press. You are cordially invited to attend.

If you open your Kenwood Press when it arrives in your mailbox you know that it contains just about everything that is going on in our nearby communities and information about the people who make it happen. If you read the Peters’ regular column you know that they are intelligent, involved, humorous and thoughtful people who are an integral part of life in our area. It should be a delightful evening to share what we and they have lived together in the Valley of the Moon. Please join us.

For those whose schedules allow for morning activities try attending our 8:30 AM meeting, also currently at the Berger Center. Programs for March include:

March 14, A talk by Adam Decker on Photographing the Wine Country.

March 21, Members of the Montgomery and Maria Carrillo High Schools Key Clubs (sponsored by the Oakmont Kiwanis Club)

March 28, Current Projects by Oakmont’s Visual Aids Workshop.

A light breakfast is available on site before the meeting starts at 8:30. Come check out what Kiwanis is doing and enjoy the program.
