I have lived in Oakmont for 17 years and for 14 years have been an active volunteer for our community. My volunteer service to Oakmont shows my commitment to making our community the best it can be.
Oakmont Volunteer Helpers – 14 years ago I was asked to be on this board and continue today as a board member, driver and coordinator, to ensure this important program continues for residents that do not drive.
Architectural Committee – member for 7 years, chair for 4 years – authored new policy, assisted residents in curing violations, landscape design, neighbor complaints and policy requirements.
Landscape Improvement Committee – member for 4 years, chair for 2 years, to oversee OVA common areas.
OVA Board of Directors – served 3 years and active liaison to the Architectural and Landscape Improvement Committees.
Firewise Committee, formed in 2019 – as liaison, worked with Iris Harrell to author and present the Firewise Policy to the Board for approval. Currently vice-chair and volunteer assessor trained by Firesafe Sonoma. I have completed hundreds of on-site assessments and reports for residents and sub- associations.
Junk the Junipers Events – In 2021 organized the first and successful events for Oakmont residents
Landscape Committee – I recently requested this committee be reformed to oversee OVA common areas and make sure those areas are brought into compliance with our firewise policy.
EXPERIENCE MATTERS – My background of management skills, along with financial and legal knowledge, align well with being a board director. I know HOA rules and understand Davis Stirling requirements. My experience on the Architectural Committee has proven that communication is the key when working with the community. We need the board to have honest open communication with residents and I will work to make that happen.
