The Monday Mens Niners held their annual Championship Luncheon on October 11, at the Oak Restaurant. Of the 49 Niners members, 26 attended the luncheon where highlights of the 2021 year-to-date results were shared. Each week the Sugarloaf Course is the venue for the group’s play that includes games ranging from Individual Low Net and 2-Man Team games to one of the favorites . . . 3-Club Monte. Each week a list of winners and runners-up are posted outside of the Sugarloaf Pro Shop. The net score games are chosen to provide friendly competition and to spread the winning opportunities to all. In fact, 26 different members placed first in weekly games!

The luncheon culminated in the naming of the winner of the two-day club championship which was Ron Bassolino, who shot a combined score of 57. He was followed closely by Tom Massip and John Magers, each scoring 58 over the two-day event.

New officers were elected for the 2022 year: Gary Stone as Captain with Ron Bassolino serving as the Secretary/Treasurer. Tony D’Agosta will continue as co-captain and Ron Bickert will again serve as the Eclectic Play coordinator.

The Niners want to thank CourseCo for their professional approach to improving the playing conditions of the courses as well as the help provided by starter Pete Matteoli.
