The next Cal Alumni Club dinner will be on Wednesday, July 20, at the Wild Oak Saddle Club.

Our speaker will be long time Jack London State Park docent, Bern Lefson. His presentation will focus on “What’s new at Jack London State Park”. Bern retired to Santa Rosa after a long career in the aerospace industry, and has been a docent at Jack London Park since 2012. He leads tours to the Wolf House and the Beauty Ranch, donating about 200 hours a year to the Park. Bern also speaks frequently about the Park to local organizations. He especially enjoys training new docents in how to tell the tales of Jack and Charmian London. His recommended London novel is Valley of the Moon.

The cost of the dinner is $50.00 for members of the Cal Alumni Club and their guests. If you are not a member of the Cal Alumni Club, the cost will be $60.00. Non Cal Alumni can join as a “ Friend of Cal”. Dues are $20.00 per year per household. Donations to our scholarship program, which benefits SRJC students who transfer to Cal, and which also support the Cal Alumni Association scholarship programs, are also welcome!

Cocktails will begin at 5:00 and are included in the price. The dinner will be Chicken Piccata, mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, and garden salad. Dessert will be strawberry cake. There will also be wine on the tables. Reservations and payment must be received by Friday, July 15.

Call Linda Williams at 707.322.6272 for reservations and payment information.
