Hello Beloved Community

Well, we made it through the first month of the new year. The OCC is looking forward to the East Rec completetion when we can once again return to the Berger. We have enjoyed our stay at the CAC. It has been a cozy enviroment. Yet, at the same time. we sure miss the elbow room. The plus side has been that since we came here we have gained some wonderful new members. The down side has been the lack of room for true growth and as a result our numbers each week have stayed the same. The sad fact is that statistics have shown that when a room is more than 80% full people stop participating. I fear that has happened to us in this small room. I encourage everyone to hang in there. It won’t be too much longer. Remember that our inconvience is nothing compared to the suffering of Christ. “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:23-25.

Beginning March 10th OCC is launching a 31-week series entitled “The Story.” Books for this series are on sale now. We invite you to join us as we walk through the major stories of the Bible together. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who wants to see the big picture of the Bible and how it connects to us today. The series has been put together by Randy Frazee and Max Lacado and it is a remarkable opportunity for those of you who desire to read from Genesis to Revelation but struggle to get through the Bible on your own. Whether you are a member of the church or not, we invite you to join us on this walk through God’s story.
