UPDATE: East Parking Lot Closure Cancelled

The City has cancelled the sidewalk construction in front of East Rec Center.

OVA has received word from the Santa Rosa Department of Transportation and Public Works that due to solid rain throughout next week, the breakout of concrete in front of the East Rec Center has been cancelled until further notice. The City will coordinate with OVA on a new date.

The City of Santa Rosa will start work on the sidewalk and area in front of the entrance into the East Rec on Oakmont, requiring closing off access to the East Rec parking lot. The work, which begins Dec. 16,  is expected to be completed by Jan. 1.   No cars will be able to use the parking lot during that time, and all residents who use the pool, pickleball and tennis courts will need to find an alternative parking area such as on the street.

Boomers Dinner for 8

Are you feeling more comfortable venturing out with friends? Do you enjoy good company, food, and wine? Boomers Dinner for Eight may be just what you need. Groups are forming for the January to June rotation.

Each group of four couples meets for times during the rotation, each couple hosting one meal. The host provides the main course and attendees bring an appetizer, salad or dessert. Each couple brings a bottle of wine. Individual groups set their dates and assignments. This is a great way to meet new people while enjoying a nice meal.
The number of openings is dependent on filling groups; there are also openings for substitutes.
