Pre-Meeting Notes/Announcement:

The world of residential solar has been changing. Lots of changes to cost and installations. One of the most important has been the extension of the solar tax credit. It was scheduled to be 22% for 2021 and to be eliminated for 2020 and instead will continue at 26% for both years. There’s been a big increase in PG&E electricity costs as well, so the economics of solar are getting better and better.

This meeting will be a moderated panel consisting of representatives from Tesla, Northern Power, Synergy Solar, and Simply Solar. Each will do a brief update on pricing, timing and battery options. There will then be a lot of opportunity for your questions.

Many Oakmont residents have installed solar and are reaping the benefits. Talk to them – look at their installations – and think about it for yourself.

This will be a meeting of the Futures Club. If you want an invitation to the Zoom meeting, email futureoakmont@gmail.com.
