NEXT GENERAL MEETING

On Thursday night, April 11, six Rainbow women who went to Africa for 35 days last summer will share their photos and experiences. You don`t want to miss this general meeting.

EXCITING PRIZES FOR BIG MAY FUNDRAISER

From 5 to 7 p.m. before our May 4th concert with Holly Near and friends, you can enjoy fare from the El Coyote food truck and make a donation for a “mystery” bottle of wine. We’ll provide corkscrews and glasses at tables on the Berger patio.

Silent auction bidding will be open for vacation getaways to Kauai, Sea Ranch, Santa Cruz, a Zen retreat at Fort Bragg, and a cabin in the Sierra. Vie for the chance to play a round of golf at the Fountaingrove Club and other courses, or bid on dinner for two at Salt & Stone and similar restaurants, fine wines, wine tastings, and gift certificates at stores.

At intermission, the live auction features a one-week vacation with Olivia Cruises and Resorts at the brand-new, all-inclusive Cabo San Lucas Hard Rock Hotel, valued at $5,000. All proceeds from both auctions go to 10,000 Degrees, the nonprofit that helps kids from low-income homes become the first ones in their families to graduate from college. Due to their counseling and financial support, 80 percent of the students they (and we) support get a college degree.

Rainbow women: Please solicit donations from your favorite businesses, so we have more to auction off. Email Bobbie Blair at 7373dreams@gmail.com for suggestions.

You want to be in the audience for this Holly Near concert. Holly was one of the originators of the women’s music movement back in the ’70s and has performed at our annual fundraiser for several years in support of 10,000 Degrees. This year’s concert, in which she’ll be joined by three other musical dynamos, promises to be spectacular.

For tickets ($30 each), put a check made out to ORW in the Rainbow Women folder inside the clubs cart at the OVA office. Your tickets will be at will call the night of the concert.

If you can’t attend, you can still contribute: Add your check payable to 10,000 Degrees to the Rainbow Women folder.

CARING CIRCLE

ORW`s Caring Circle program provides temporary, nonmedical assistance to Rainbow Women who have short-term needs related to recent surgeries or illnesses. Please contact ORW Chairwoman Robin Jurs. A Rainbow Caring Circle member will get in touch with you.
