Recent events have underscored the absolute necessity of having systems in place to support each other in times of emergency. Map Your Neighborhood (MYN) is just that.
We are in the early stages of organizing this powerful ‘neighbor-helping neighbor’ program and are offering two Zoom informational meetings. Please join Katy Carrel, Ann Benson, Matt Zwerling and Pat Barclay for a one-hour Zoom meeting to learn more about how this program saves lives and property before the first responders arrive. The program is actively endorsed and promoted by the Oakmont Emergency Preparedness Committee (OEPC) and approved by the OVA Board.
Tuesday, November 17, 11:00 AM
Thursday, December 10, 1:00 PM
Go to oakmontvillage.com/myn to register for a Zoom invitation link.
For people who have already attended a past Zoom meeting, the MYN website offers a wide range of tools to help in the planning process. There are booklets, instructions for hosting a Zoom MYN meeting with your neighbors, video recommendations on YouTube and a team of people that you can talk to.
The goal of MYN is to create a map of Oakmont that shows that every home is included in either an active COPE or MYN zone. Please help by sending the addresses of the homes that are in your current or planned MYN or COPE zone to MYNOakmont@gmail.com.
