Partner Dance Classes Postponed to February

The Nightclub 2-Step dance classes originally scheduled to start on January 5 will be postponed to February. Here is the updated information:

WHAT: Beginning Nightclub 2-Step partner dance classes
WHEN: Wednesday nights Feb 2, 9 & 16 from 6:45 – 8:00 pm
WHERE: East Rec Center
COST: $10 pp for single class. $8 pp for 2 or more classes purchased at the door at beginning of 1st class.

Nightclub 2-Step (NC2S) is one of the easier partner dances to learn and can be danced to a large variety of slower ballad type music. Examples of songs that NC2S can be danced to are: Adele’s new song Easy On Me, Let it Be by The Beatles, Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion, and many more.

A different partner dance will be taught each month by instructor Terry Whitten. Examples of dances to be taught in the future besides Nightclub 2- Step include Jitterbug Swing, Foxtrot, Waltz, Rumba, Cha Cha, Country 2-Step, Salsa, etc.

No partners or experience are required. Rotation of partners will be optional. At this time, full vaccination plus booster and face masks will be required.
