Sonoma Wine Country Games

GOLD comes to the Oakmont Pickleball Club. On a hot weekend in June at the Sonoma
Wine Country Games, the OPC struck gold.

It was a great, if not hot, venue for the first games in two years. This year it was held at Sunset Park in Rohnert Park sponsored by the Council on Aging. The event was coordinated by Molly Pengel who was ably assisted by her sisters Mindy and Miriam all who have played here at Oakmont as guests and have supported many of the club’s functions.

But, on to the games. The OPC members who participated and came away with gold medals were Liz and Mark Majkowski for mixed doubles and Doc Savarese and Vince Taylor for doubles in their age group.

Way to go you all – you made the OPC proud.
