Hello Beloved Community,
It is good to be back in person worshipping our Lord. These past few weeks have been a real blessing. If you are looking for a local church, look no further than your own backyard. Oakmont Community Church is a Bible based community church. We worship every Sunday morning at 10:30 am at the East Rec. Our service is also on-line live on YouTube at 10:30 am. We have both an in-person Bible study on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 am and an on-line Bible study that airs on YouTube on Fridays. Sunday, July 11th we will be having a Prayer service during our scheduled worship time. Prayer is a very important part of worship. We hope you will join us.
On Saturday, June 26th, the ladies got together for a Ladies’ Tea and one of the member’s homes and on Sunday, July 4th we gathered after church for a BBQ at the Pastor’s house. There was food, games and wonderful conversation. God willing we will be able to continue to meet for more fellowship events this summer and into the fall.
Besides being summer time, this is also the time we prepare our selves for power outages and fire evacuations. Make sure you have your to-go bag ready and a plan, especially if you do not drive. Buddy up with a neighbor, friend or church member if you need a ride. If you ever need prayer, please feel free to call, even if you do not attend the church.
God bless, Pastor Brinda
