August 10, 2022, 9:30am to Noon
East Rec, 7902 Oakmont Drive

The Oakmont Garden Club is pleased to offer a pressed flower workshop conducted by the talented Jan Lochner, a Sebastopol gardener of some 50+ years. Jan’s craft was recently featured in The Press Democrat and she has given the ever-popular Pressed Flower Card Classes at Riley Street. We are over the moon that she is bringing her workshop to Oakmont!

In this workshop Jan will be making several pressed-flower items and show you how to make them yourself. Each participant will leave with a bookmark, a note card, a window ornament and a fridge magnet. You will go away filled with excitement to start collecting flowers, leaves, etc. and to experiment on your own. Jan will tell us what are good candidates for pressing and which to avoid and why. Your eyes will suddenly be opened to take notice of the beauty all around us and in the most unassuming things.
The cost of the workshop is $30 per person and is limited to 20 people. It includes all the materials you will need to complete your project.

This event will fill up fast, so do not delay. If you would like to attend, place your check, made payable to The Oakmont Garden Club, in the Garden Club folder at the OVA office or mail your check to our club treasurer, Sandi Bonacini, 122 Old Oak Lane, Santa Rosa, CA 95409, as soon as possible. Your check is your reservation. Checks received after the class has filled will be returned. No cash, please.
Let’s make this a workshop to be remembered!

Note: Proof of vaccine and booster is required. The OVA mask rule in place at the time of the workshop will prevail.
