On Tuesday, October 5th the CalRTA (California Retired Teachers Association) had a well attended luncheon meeting at the Petaluma Cattleman’s Restaurant. It seems retired teachers were excited to get together. CalRTA has been a help to the Oakmont Club. Just because it says California, it doesn’t mean teachers and educators from across the country can’t take advantage of the many benefits membership in CalRTA offers. I write the insurance column for their newsletter. I let members know about insurance and health benefits available to members at lower costs than what they might be paying. A recent mailing from CalRTA contained information about the Tru Hearing Insurance available to members. I have Tru Hearing aides and batteries. I saved a lot of money through this plan. Half of what I had planned to pay through Kaiser.
If you are interested in having a meeting contact me at Email: bjcsing@sbcglobal.net. If you wish to find out about CalRTA phone me at 707-477-7648, and I will get their newsletter to you.
