Sign Up for Great Decisions

The Great Decisions discussion groups meet nine times during February-June each year to read and discuss topics chosen by the Foreign Policy Association. This is part of a national program to expose Americans to important foreign policy issues and provide a framework for discussion about them. As part of the program, each participant receives a book containing important background material for each topic – $28 cost). The program is open to all residents of Oakmont and their guests. (NOTE: There are large print books available at an additional charge if requested).

Discussion topics for 2022 are Changing Demographics, Outer Space, Climate Change, Russia and the US, Myanmar, the Quad Alliance, Drug Policy, Industrial Policy, and Biden’s Agenda.

When we are able to meet in person, meetings are held every two weeks for 9 meetings during February into June. Meetings are Monday mornings from 10-12 in the East Recreation Center. If COVID intervenes, at least one of these groups may meet by Zoom.

If you have any questions, please email oakmontgd@gmail.com or call me at 538-7264.
