Recap

Our March Mixer, a salute to St. Patrick’s Day, was great fun! Irish Bingo was quite a challenge, but we were up to it. Our attendees should pat themselves on the back for all the delicious appetizers they provided. Our members are the best!

Annual elections were held at the March meeting, with the end result being that SBSC now has a full board of seven members for the coming year. Those stepping forward to assume leadership positions are Kat Stephens, Alan Schackman, Priscilla Roslyn, Barb Powell, Gale O’Brien, Mary Costa, and Carolita Carr. Christine Cameron has been appointed as decorations chair.

Upcoming

Because of circumstances at the East Rec, we are switching our next two events.

April 9 monthly mixer will be at the Berger Center at 6:00 pm and feature line dancing. Members should register with the online invitation and bring an appetizer to share. BYOB as well.

May 14 (hopefully at the East Rec Center) Members of Oakmont’s Pickleball Club will demonstrate the game and give us a chance to try it out.

June 22, annual picnic at the West Rec Center picnic grounds

Single Boomers Social Club is open to any single person residing in Oakmont. Only an interest in meeting people and socializing is required. We hold monthly mixers within Oakmont and find interesting things to do in the greater Santa Rosa area..We dine out at a different restaurant once a month, and we even arrange to sit together at other Oakmont activities. If any of this sounds interesting to you, all you have to do is pick up an application form in the Single Boomers Social Club folder at the OVA office. Our dues are $12.00 per year. Once you join and give us your email address, you will learn of our events and be able to participate.
