SIR Branch 92

Our May meeting features an informative presentation on California Wetlands and the efforts to develop and support water fowl habitats.  Our speaker, Yancey Knowles, is the former chairperson of the California Waterfowl Association.  He has written a definitive guide to duck clubs in California and is currently working on the establishment of a California Wetlands Museum designed to teach the importance of our wetlands.

Yancey Knowles is a retired educator who was an outstanding teacher in the Rincon Valley School and retired as superintendent of the Bellview School District in Santa Rosa.

Where: Berger Center

Branch 92 will host a number of events in the coming months including a trip to the USS Hornet, monthly golf tournament, our traditional Ladies Day event in June featuring the
piano skills of Deborah Knapp, Picnic at West Rec.
with Bocce, an outing to the Sonoma Stompers and a day at the races.  We welcome retired men to join us by contacting John Barrett, membership Chair at 537-6551.
