SIR Robert Ripley Branch #53 is expanding its outreach to its members and the Oakmont Community by adding new activities and inviting all Oakmont residents to participate.
The outreach will begin with the Historical Interest Group’s presentation on Thursday, Feb. 28, on “How Military Strategy Became the Basis for Business Strategy”.
This presentation will explore strategic thinking ranging from military strategists Sun Tsu and Car Von Clausewitz to the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff and from their counterparts in companies ranging from Beretta Firearms to Apple.
The event will take place from 10 to 11:15 a.m. in the large OVA conference room. The speaker will be SIR #53 member Ed Kelleher, a former Fortune 500 strategic planning executive and retired California State University professor.
The Day Tours Group will tour the Joe Matos Cheese Factory in Santa Rosa on Saturday, March 23, leaving from Berger Center at 10 a.m. and returning at 1 p.m. The tour will include the opportunity to purchase cheese.
Those interested in either event should email edwardkelleher1@gmail.com. with their name and the number of people in their party.
