SI Oakmont Wine Country attended the Founder Region District Meeting in September, the first opportunity the club has had to join an in-person meeting since the club was founded. Christina Chapman and Denise Bickert attended to represent the club. It was a wonderful opportunity to network with other clubs, getting ideas and recommendations of what worked well. The Oakmont Club was recognized for retaining membership and for our contributions to the Dream programs.

The meeting coincided with the kick off of the Dream Big Campaign, a ten year goal for Soroptimist International of the Americas. The monetary goal is $15 million, but most importantly the funds will be used to reach one half million girls and women through the Dream projects. The Oakmont club participates in both the Live Your Dream scholarship program and the Dream It Be It program for girls.

We continue to look for new members. This is a service organization that likes to have fun. After all Fun is the beginning of the word Fundraising. If you are interested in learning more about the club please contact deniseb.siowc@gmail.com.
