Because We Live in Santa Rosa…

We can have a PICNIC in November! Join us at the West Rec picnic area on November 3rd – Noon to 2pm – for the first annual Canine Club picnic. This is for current Club Members Only, so if you want to join in the fun and you’re not a member yet, you are welcome to join the club at the picnic. We’ll provide the application and you just bring your checkbook (or some cash.) REMINDER – Even though this is an outdoors event – sorry, No Pups Allowed, humans only.

What’s Happening With The Dog Park?

• Well the OVA ad-hoc committee has gathered information on options on 3 possible permanent sites. They moved quickly to identify cost and the pros & cons for each location. Hopefully the Board can vote on the sites at the next board meeting. A Town Hall Meeting is being planned for this month to present all information to the Oakmont community prior to any Board vote on the issue. Date, Time, & Location of that Town Hall will be announced soon. Stay tuned!

Help Wanted – Help!

• Volunteers are still needed for our nominating committee. This job just became pretty easy as most current board members have now agreed to stay on and continue their duties. Participating on this committee is a great way to be involved in the club and meet other Oakmont “dog people” without a long term commitment. The committee will meet soon to organize a slate of names to serve for 2 years as officers and directors of the Canine Club. Current Board members cannot technically be on this committee so we do need your help. If you would like more information about committees, membership, Dog Park, or any other questions, please send an email to membership@oakmontcanineclub.org

Not a member yet? Why not join?

• Membership forms are always available in the Canine Club folder in the OVA office and can also be downloaded from our website. Do check out our website soon www.oakmontcanineclub.org
