Hello square dancers. We are looking forward to seeing you again!

Our plan, at the time of this posting, is to begin dancing on Tuesday June 22nd at 7 PM at West Rec upstairs (where we danced pre-pandemic). We await the planned installation of a hi-tech ventilation system that should greatly lower the risk of transmitting any virus but will proceed on June 22 as long as doing so complies with health guidelines.
Since square dancing is inherently social rather than socially distanced, we will be taking the following precautions:

1. Every dancer will need to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination + 2 weeks, so please bring your vaccination card your first time back.
2. We will wear masks for at least a couple of weeks.
3. We will wash or sanitize hands after each tip.

We invite all club members and anyone interested in learning to square dance. Our caller, Lawrence Johnstone, will begin at the beginning for everyone, since even experienced dancers will be coming out of a long dry spell without any square dancing. So, if you’ve been thinking about joining us, now is the time. Come for the exercise-both physical and mental-and come for chance to dance in a square and make a circle of friends.
