Stanford Club: The Future Is Here

Club members arrived at our February 28 get-together with a load of ideas for upcoming events. Among suggestions were trips to nature preserves and botanical gardens (Pepperwood, Bouverie, Quarry Hill), the Bird Rescue Center, and Canine Companions, with perhaps lunch afterward. Other ideas involved longer trips (Bay Cruise, the Bodega Marine Laboratory, etc.), which might interest fewer Stanford Club members and could be coordinated with the Sonoma County Club.

Nothing has yet been decided, and Kay Nelson, our club president, is arranging for a meeting of volunteers who will serve on a committee to research options and arrange events. Any member willing to join is more than welcome.

For the present, the club is hoping to have a guest speaker at a brown bag lunch in May and is working with the Saddle Club for our annual summer luncheon.

Stay tuned for updates, and continue to give us ideas. It’s never too late to make suggestions for events.

If you haven’t already, please pay your annual dues by sending a check to 405 Pythian Road or placing one in the club folder in the OVA office.
