Symposium returns to Berger on October 3 at 10:30

The Oakmont Sunday Symposium plans to resume meetings in Berger Center on Oct. 3 while continuing to make them available via Zoom.

Although still concerned about the exposure of residents to COVID-19 in any indoor setting, the OSS board recognized that an increasing number of residents wish to attend Symposium lectures in person, said board president wearing a mask. Attendance at any indoor meeting in Oakmont facilities requires following safety guidelines from Sonoma County and the OVA that currently include a mask requirement.

The speaker on October 3 will be Heather Irwin, Dining Editor for the Press Democrat. She will provide an update on how restaurants are doing after a very difficult year and give some tips on all the local restaurants.

On Oct 10, Oakmont’s own author Yvonne Horn will be talking about her recent book “100 Things To Do in Sonoma County Before You Die.” She will bring copies of her book.
