This event has already happened.

Since this presentation, previously scheduled for our February meeting had to be cancelled due to Covid restrictions, I decided to reprise it for our March session.

We will explore the amazing compositional output of three authentic young prodigies. And who were these talented teenagers? The first that comes to mind is probably Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. However, Felix Mendelssohn composed works of depth, complexity and joyousness, while the young Rossini was already starting to restructure musical form and map out his future operatic success. I will provide musical examples and some historical perspective on the early works of these three talented composers.
