Please join the Oakmont Community Foundation this Friday, August 12, at Fire Station 7 (Stone Bridge Drive) at 10 a.m. The Santa Rosa Fire Foundation will be unveiling plans for a firewise and drought resistant landscape for our Station 7. The SR fire officials and members of the Fire Foundation board will all be there to greet you and deliver a few brief remarks. Sonoma Fire Safe will also be there, along with Sonoma Ecology Center, designers of the landscape. You also will be able to tour the station until noon and enjoy fire trucks that will be on display. Oakmont Community Foundation was a charter donor to the Fire Foundation, and OCF’s efforts to support our firefighters and the foundation’s goals will be ongoing. We hope you will stop by this awesome event and buy a refreshing cup of lemonade at our OCF table.
