I have lived in Northern California all my life and my wife Linda and I moved to Oakmont in 2007. I did not retire until 2018 and have tried to volunteer in Oakmont as much as possible. As a Sales Representative I covered six western states traveling from Washington to Arizona & Hawaii.
My experience includes hiring, managing, project construction bidding, material purchasing, managing vendor accounts, growing a client base and developing long term customer relationships. I have held board positions as president, vice president, treasurer and membership chairperson on several industry organizations in the past 50+ years. I was President of the Hearth, Patio & Barbeque Association for California/Nevada/Hawaii for two terms, Treasurer and Membership Chairman for fifteen years. I also hold a California Sheet Metal Contractors license and have for 50+ years.
I am currently on the OVA Board of Oakmont until April 1, 2022. I have been on the Building Construction Committee for several years, the Energy Resiliency Committee, Golf Advisory and Landscape Committees. I was also instrumental in finding the location for our current Dog Park. I am currently also a COPE leader for our block of twelve homes.
If re-elected I would like to keep communications open and insure transparency among the committees and community by using the business skills I have practiced over the last 50+ years. As an independent thinker and respectful person I listen to all concerned and work towards solutions. Communication is key to unity of the Board and Oakmont as a whole.
I would like your vote so I may continue on these committees and assist with Board decisions. I will always act in the best interest of the association, putting Oakmont first.
